LocAllied Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and LocAllied ("we", "us"). Before using the LocAllied app you are asked to tick "I agree" to these terms and the Privacy Policy; by ticking it, or by using the LocAllied app or website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use LocAllied. You must be 18 or older to use LocAllied.
1. What LocAllied is
LocAllied is a directory. It helps you find independent service providers who speak your language. We are not a party to any arrangement between you and a provider. We do not employ, supervise, recommend or guarantee any provider, and we are not a medical, legal, financial, real-estate or other professional service.
2. Information about providers
Profiles are compiled from publicly available sources and from information supplied by providers and the community. We try to keep them accurate, but:
- we do not guarantee that any profile is complete, current or correct;
- language information is labeled by source (confirmed by the provider, official website, professional directory, community reported, or not verified);
- "License verified" appears only when we have checked a public licensing record on the date we checked it. It is not a guarantee that a license is valid today. Without that label, we have not checked the license;
- a listing is not an endorsement, and being listed does not mean the provider is affiliated with LocAllied, unless the profile is marked as claimed by the business.
Before hiring anyone, confirm their license, insurance, prices and qualifications yourself.
3. If you are a provider
Your business may be listed based on public information. You may claim your profile, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it at any time through "Is this your business?" on the profile or by writing to locallied.services@gmail.com. Removal requests are handled within one business day after we confirm the request comes from the business. If you claim a profile, you confirm that you are authorized to act for that business and that the information you give is true.
4. Request a Pro
When you send a request you agree that we may pass it, with the contact detail you provided, to matching providers so they can contact you. We do not promise that a provider will respond.
5. Reviews, recommendations and suggestions
Reviews, recommendations and suggestions must be honest and based on your own experience. Do not submit false information, another person's private details, insults, threats, advertising, or anything unlawful.
- Reviews are the opinion of the person who wrote them, not of LocAllied. The writer is responsible for what they write.
- We read reviews before they appear and may decline, edit out personal details, or remove any review, at any time, without giving a reason.
- Anyone can report a review. A review reported several times is hidden until we check it again.
- By submitting a review you give LocAllied a free, permanent, worldwide right to show it in the app and on the website.
6. Acceptable use
Do not copy or scrape the directory, use it to send spam, attempt to break or overload the service, or use it to harass anyone.
7. Our content
The LocAllied name, logo, app and directory compilation belong to LocAllied. Business names and trademarks of listed providers belong to their owners.
8. No responsibility for providers
LocAllied is only a directory. You choose, contact and hire providers yourself and at your own risk.
- We do not check, recommend, employ or supervise providers, and we are not responsible for their work, advice, prices, conduct, licenses, insurance or statements.
- Nothing in LocAllied is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
- In an emergency, call 911. LocAllied is not an emergency service.
- Links to provider websites, maps and phone or messaging apps lead to services we do not control.
- Any dispute about a provider's work is between you and that provider. You release LocAllied and its owners from all claims arising from your dealings with any provider.
9. Disclaimers and limit of liability
LocAllied is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, LocAllied and its owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of LocAllied or your dealings with a provider. Our total liability for any claim relating to LocAllied is limited to US $50. Some places do not allow some of these limits; there they apply as far as the law allows.
10. Your responsibility
You agree to cover any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable lawyer fees) that LocAllied or its owners face because you broke these terms, misused LocAllied, or submitted false or unlawful information. Providers are responsible for the accuracy of information they give us.
11. Changes and ending
We may change the service or these terms. We will update the date above; continued use means you accept the new terms. We may suspend access for misuse.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
